My blog post is on sex in advertising. I am using Katherine Webb. She is one of the most iconic, best looking women in the sports and entertainment world in this past year. Katherine Webb is AJ McCarron's girlfriend and he was the quarterback of the highly successful Alabama team. During every single game, Katherine was singled out by the camera man and the commentators and talked about. The commercial begins with Katherine in the stands of a football game with tons of make up on. She then proceeds to pull out a huge Buffalo Blue Cheese Burger from Carl's Jr. Without taking a bite out of it, a bit of buffalo sauce spills on the jersey she is wearing and then everybody around her disappears and she is singled out alone in her seat and she takes her jersey off to where she is wearing a skimpy black bra. Multiple times throughout the next couple seconds, you see her shaking her hair in slow motion and zooming close on her mouth and tongue eating the burger. It is extremely provocative. Next she gets buffalo sauce on her finger after she takes a bite out of the burger and licks her finger slowly looking at the camera. After this, the camera zooms on Webb's cleavage and it is dripping with water/sweat. After, she bends over to grab her drink and the the camera zooms on her butt and legs and high heels. She then takes an ice cube from the cup and rubs it slowly down her neck and then takes another long, big bite out of the burger. Then out of absolutely no where, she has a mini fan that squirts water out and she does it on her face and cleavage in slow motion and the camera zooms in on her cleavage one more time. Finally, she licks her fingers with buffalo sauce on them one more time. Throughout the commercial, the term "ultimate game day fantasy" is used to describe Katherine Webb eating the burger. More and more commercials are being produced like that to attract people to eat the burger that Katherine Webb is apparently eating. This is the way they get customers and is something that is highly used on television now.
